Post From Foam Magazine

Sharing this post from Foam Magazine- because I always love doing Photoshop collages.
"GUEST BLOG: PHOTOSHOP FUN
"For those of you who don't have the time or the money to buy a million art supplies, or for those of you who think you don't have any artistic skills or for those of you spend hours upon hours on the Internet doing whatever it is you do...then graphic media is for you.

Think of these little projects as an Internet collage. They're fun and you are free to do anything your little heart desires! The delete button is also a plus.

You need to know a little about Photoshop to do these- and I won't lie: When I first got the program it looked like another language to me! Just Google it– there are a ton of extremely helpful sites that can teach you the basics.

The stuff up top is what I did. There are so many ways to Photoshop...why not make it into an art medium?"

Events - February

This event looks really cool and its at the Rickshaw which is a great venue. http://lineup.noisepop.com/event/2012/02/22/grimes It's part of Noise Pop -- other artists will be performing during the week including The Dodos and Porter Robinson. See all here: http://lineup.noisepop.com/

Double exposure inspired paintings by Pakayla Biehn

Its honestly hard to tell that these are paintings at first glance. I love double exposure photography and I think its really cool and interesting to see the technique represented in a different medium.

Miniature Tigers and Tennis

Saw a fun show the other night- Miniature Tigers and Tennis at The Bottom of the Hill in SF. The venue was small which is always a plus for a more intimate show. Miniature Tigers played a bunch of new songs- they are all very fun and dancey. We got to talk to the band after the show too which was cool, as they hung out before Tennis began their set- they were super nice.
